Welcome to GLOW!

We are centred around this scripture from Colossians 2:7, which says:

Let your roots grow down into Him, and let your lives be built on Him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught.

We are made up of children aged 3-11 years old and we are a fun and active place where children can learn about God and grow in their faith. GLOW is run by a team of adults at Riverside who are passionate about sharing the gospel with our children in interactive and engaging ways! We are centred on teaching the good news that is Jesus Christ in the most action-packed way we can!

This scripture sums it up nicely:

Point your kids in the right direction - when they're old, they won't get lost (Proverbs 22:6)

GLOW craft activities 1

On a Sunday, our children meet in two groups - GLOW for ages 3 to 7 years, and GLOW CAFE for ages 8-11 years.

The aim is to make meaningful friendships and develop a deeper understanding of the Word through practical activities.

At GLOW, children are:

  • Valued
  • Encouraged to be themselves
  • Safe
  • Relaxed
  • Growing in their understanding of the Word
  • Encouraged to express themselves through worship, prayer, talking together, drama and craft
  • Making relationships
  • Encouraged to ask questions

GLOW CAFE is designed for those children in upper Key Stage 2 school years 4-6. 

Here we provide opportunities for children to explore the Bible, prayer and the presence of God in more depth.  These sessions encourage further discussion and have lots of opportunities to meet and make new friends whilst having fun and learning more about our faith.
