November 1 2024 Coffee Plus 10:30am - 12:00pm East Bridgford Garden Centre

Coffee Plus will meet on the first Friday of every month at East Bridgford Garden Centre in a reserved designated airy space just for us. Roof vents are open and we are in the Cafe overflow area within the cyclamen border.

November 2 2024 Alpha Course 9:00am - 5:00pm Riverside Centre Stay Curious. Try Alpha.

Alpha is a series of group conversations that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith in an open, friendly environment. Everyone’s welcome. No matter your background or beliefs, you’re invited.

Life is better together. Alpha brings together people from all walks of life who are curious about faith. Each session starts with some time to eat, relax and get to know your group.

Each session covers a different topic of faith, either in a short talk or video. The Alpha episodes are designed to engage and inspire conversation. They’re about thirty minutes long and explore the big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity, addressing questions such as Who is Jesus?How can we have faith? and How does God guide us?

The last part of an Alpha is a chance to share your thoughts on the session’s topic and discuss it in your small groups. It’s an open and welcoming environment, no matter what your opinion. There’s no pressure to say anything, but the floor is yours if you do want to.

The Bereavement Journey is a series of films and discussion groups that gently guide people bereaved at any time through the most common aspects of grief and bereavement, enabling them to process the implications for themselves and discern next steps.

Usually run by churches, the programme uniquely offers a final session on faith questions in bereavement, provided from a Christian perspective.  This follows the main sessions and is optional, making The Bereavement Journey suitable for people of any faith or none.

The course runs for 7 weeks.

Location to be shared once signed up.

November 8 2024 Men's Stathern 2024: Connection 6:30pm - 4:30pm Stathern Lodge Riverside Men are heading to Stathern Lodge this November. Join us for Chips, Testemony and Worship by the fire, followed by a trip to the pub on Friday Night, or come along on Saturday morning for a day of fellowship, teaching, and connection. 

We are kicking off at 6:30 on Friday night. If you are staying over, please remember to bring all bedding with you (Stathern only has mattresses). Other Handy things to pack might be a bible, pens/notebook, toiletries, clothes, sports gear (there is a sports hall), decent shoes (we will be going on a walk) and a coat. 

If you are joining Saturday, we will be aiming to have breakfast at 9:00 am. Tony Dennis will be leading a prayer walk at 8:00 am on Saturday morning if you wish to come earlier for that. We will finish on Saturday at 4:30.

Stathern is a dry venue, please do not bring any alcohol.

November 28 2024 Southwell Late Night Shopping Evening - Crafts & Warm Welcome @ The Riverside Centre 5:00pm - 8:00pm Riverside Centre Southwell Late Night Shopping Evening with Christmas crafts and a warm welcome @ The Riverside Centre.
During this lovely annual event, King Street, Southwell is closed for a special festive evening of late night shopping, craft fair and carol singers, perfect to kick start your Christmas. Once again, we are joining in and opening the doors of the Riverside Centre at the top of the town. With free children's Christmas crafts, festive face painting, tasty Christmas treats and the chance to share the Light of the World with the people of Southwell. 
We would love for you to come and join us in sharing Jesus with out community. Join us to warm up as we start to celebrate Christmas together.

November 29 2024 Coffee Plus North 10:30am - 12:00pm Daffodil Tearooms, Eakring We are excited to announce the launch of a NEW ‘Coffee Plus’ event, which will take place in the north of our county… ‘Coffee Plus NORTH’!

Following on from the success of our usual ‘Coffee Plus’ events, a team of Riversiders have organised to meet at the Daffodil Tearooms in Eakring, Newark (NG22 0BL) on the last Friday of every month from 10:30am-12pm.

All are welcome for teas, cakes, chatter and fellowship!
